Nurse Practitioner - NationwideTotal Safety is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to add to their safety conscious team. The Nurse Practitioner will provide administrative, clerical and back-up medical support to customer site. Our Core Values are People, Safety & Wellbeing, Accountability, Responsibility, Empowerment, Honesty, Transparency, and Integrity.Job Duties And Responsibilities:Performs general administrative support including report distribution and ordering medical suppliesSchedules physicals, drug tests, and other medical appointmentsPrepares paperwork for all medical visits (physicals, return to work visits, office visits, etc.)Prepares daily appointment sheet for scheduled clinic activityProvides back-up medical support as requested by the facility physician and/or nurse, assisting with physical testing, administering injections and drug testingMaintains medical charts, prepare new charts, update employee information due to changes (transfers, job title changes, name changes, etc.), and archive chartsMaintains all electronic medical data, including, but not limited to, medical data entry (return to work visits, audio testing, physicals, office visit, etc.) updates to the Tier Tracker spreadsheet, updates to the Absence Tracker spreadsheet, etc.Maintains master records list for all paper and electronic filesMaintains and distribute the monthly sick leave and weekly absence reports to designated personnelAssures timely notification to HR of all FMLA denials and approvalsInitial and on-going systematic patient assessmentEnsuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accuratelyTeaching and counseling patients/familiesPositive, caring and customer-service oriented attitudePerforms other administrative duties as requested by the facility physicianStaff a medical clinic on landUse clinic for triage, first aid, & general medical assessmentsOption for 24hr on-call serviceQualifications:A minimum of four years' experience is required.Positive attitude and the ability to handle highly confidential informationRobust customer service skillsCompetence in Rapid Response and code eventsExperience with Occupational MedicineCritical care experience, (preferred)Education:A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent and RN certification is required.Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) requiredCPR, First Aid certificateOther Requirements, Skills, Knowledge or Abilities:Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and other data base softwarePromoting continuous quality improvementSkilled in handling emergency and life-threatening situationsStrong communication skills and the capability to work independently with minimal guidanceKnowledge of medical policies, strategies, programs and activitiesAbility to communicate effectively with others, both written and verbal communicationInterpersonal Communications:Develops strong relationships with customer personnel. Frequent customer presentation. Frequent contact with operations, purchasing, training and accounting to understand and resolve issues.
