Position Overview Electrical Engineer should possess knowledge of the following and should be able to apply this knowledge as needed: Article 500, Hazardous (Classified) Locations in the current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Current version of the National Electrical Code (NEC 70 & 70e) Other relevant codes and standards such as the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), National Electrical Safety Code (NESC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and industry engineering design and CAD drafting standards. Engineer should be able to: Specify medium voltage switchgear, feeders, breakers, transformers, and overcurrent protection for power applications Route conduit and cable tray and calculate tray fill Perform voltage drop calculations, load studies, coordination studies, arc flash studies, etc. Engineer will: Provide checking and design package approval services when required Participate in squad checks to ensure coordination between the design disciplines Proactively lead and coordinate the efforts of a design staff to achieve scope, schedule, and budget objectives Required Skills and Qualifications BS or MS in electrical engineering is required 10+ years of experience required 2+ years of experience as a lead engineer 6+ years of oil & gas and/or chemical plant EPC experience Strong working knowledge and practical application of typical power system configurations and operation. Working knowledge of ETAP and Power Tools (SKM) software required Working experience in selection, specification and design of major electrical equipment Experience in vendor selection, including technical evaluations Experience in overall project execution, including engineering, procurement, shipping, installation, start-up, and project management MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent oral and written communication skills required Ability to perform assignments within budget and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision PE license is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr

Electrical Power Systems Engineer – Substation Design & Energy Projects An exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join a leading team specializing in capital projects for the energy sector. This role focuses on designing and upgrading electrical substations — including new builds, renovations, and expansions — for medium-voltage systems up to 34.5kV. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the preparation of engineering deliverables for complex substation projects . Design and analyze electrical one-line diagrams, protection and control systems, relay panels, and grounding systems . Perform protective device coordination, short circuit, arc flash, and harmonic analysis using advanced modeling tools. Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and efficient project execution. Support SCADA system integration , substation protection upgrades, and system reliability improvements. Conduct field investigations and participate in quality control reviews to validate designs. Ideal Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (3.0+ GPA preferred). 3–10 years of hands‑on experience in electrical power system design, preferably in the energy or utilities sector . Strong knowledge of SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower , and expertise in relay programming and protection system analysis . Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, ANSI, and NEMA standards . EIT or PE license preferred. Strong communication and teamwork skills; capable of collaborating across disciplines.
