This role will initially be based in Shiner, TX with a targeted relocation date of July 2026. Relocation and travel assistance will be available to Team Members if needed. The fabrication team member is a single punch operator / tube bender responsible for loading, unloading, and operating equipment that punches metal and bends tube to make bumpers and grill guards. Monday - Thursday, 4:00pm - 2:30am Pay: $17.50/hr plus a $1.00/hr shift differential! This role will initially be based in Shiner, TX with a targeted relocation date of July 2026. Relocation and travel assistance will be available to Team Members if needed.Role OverviewThe fabrication team member is a laser operator responsible for loading, unloading, and operating equipment that cuts metal to make bumpers and grill guards.Work Schedule & PayMonday - Friday, 5:00am - 3:30pm.Pay: $17.50/hrEssential FunctionsOperate machines to remove finished work pieces or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement according to required machining sequences.Confer with shift leads and managers to resolve machine malfunctions or production, obtain approval to continue production.Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.Check to ensure that work pieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.Clean machines, tooling, or parts, using solvents or solutions and rags.Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.Monitor machine operation and control panel displays and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.Follow work instructions to operate machine control units to start and stop operation.Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished work piece dimensions, or numerical control sequences.Help to maintain necessary inventory of manufacturing supplies.Assist with cycle counting of material to ensure inventory integrity.Perform other duties as assigned.Other Key ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
