The Indian Health Service (IHS) Uintah-Ouray Service Unit at the Fort Duchesne PHS Indian Health Center in Fort Duchesne, Utah is seeking experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS/MLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) for a government contract in its outpatient clinic. More information about the clinic and location details available at: Contract: Minimum 3 months, with possible extension options Start Date: ASAP - March 2026 Outpatient Medical Clinic Lab Opportunity Mon - Fri, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Full-time hours No Weekends or Holidays. Benefits offered Minimum Associate's degree in Medical Lab Science, Bachelor's degree preferred ASCP or equivalent required BLS, basic life support certification required Previous Medical/Clinical lab experience needed Prior Travel experience a plus Previous IHS experience preferred Local candidates welcome The CLS or MLT, Clinical Lab Scientist, Medical Lab Tech or Medical lab Scientist, will provide services in clinical laboratory setting by performing diagnostic testing in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology and microbiology as well as assisting in phlebotomy. Proficient in the operation of different laboratory equipment /analyzers, running quality controls, calibration of laboratory equipment and capable of applying professional judgement in resulting out challenging diagnostic laboratory results. Experience working in a primary care outpatient clinic setting. Experience providing care to patients within a rural area.
