Facilities Maintenance Technician

Technician Position Charlotte County Public Schools is seeking applications to fill a Technician position in the Facilities Maintenance Department. The applicant shall possess knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair problems associated with HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems along with experience and certifications as listed below. Duties and Qualifications: Experience and/or training in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and equipment control systems. Experience and/or training in installation, maintenance and repair of surveillance, intrusion, building access, fire protection and communication systems. Experience and/or training in installation, maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC system. Post-secondary technical training in related fields and/or possession of a journeyman or masters tradesman certification in the electrical and/or plumbing designation is preferred. Experience in construction techniques along with maintenance and repair of doors and door hardware would be a benefit. Experience in maintaining commercial roofing systems would be of benefit. Applicant must possess a valid drivers license. Applicant must be able to work from ladders, aerial platforms and scaffolds.
