Overview The Program Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the clinical services of a residential treatment facility serving adolescents aged 11–17. This leadership position ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic services in alignment with the facility’s mission of healing youth, supporting families, and restoring hope. The Program Director implements the overall clinical programming of the center and provides clinical supervision to therapy and case management staff. Position also maintains compliance with licensing and accreditation standards (e.g., DBHDS, Joint Commission), and collaborates across departments to support a holistic care approach. Job Duties Lead, supervise, and support a multidisciplinary team of therapists and case managers. Oversee the development, implementation, execution and evaluation of individualized treatment plans. Ensure clinical programming aligns with best practices in adolescent mental health and traumainformed care. Conduct regular clinical supervision and staff performance evaluations. Monitors and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting bodies’ regulations, including documentation standards. Directs and/or participate in case conferences, family meetings, and staff training sessions. Responsible for the completion of treatment plans, discharge summaries, and timely clinical documentation. Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide clinical guidance during high-risk situations. Serve as a liaison with families, external providers, school personnel, and referral sources. Analyze clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives. Participate in leadership team meetings and strategic planning. Position Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience providing clinical services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Demonstrated experience working with adolescents in a residential or acute care setting. Strong knowledge of traumainformed care, evidence-based practices, and adolescent development. Proficient in clinical documentation, EMR systems, and compliance standards. Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Critical thinking and clinical decision-making Ethical and professional integrity Cultural competence and sensitivity Ability to remain calm in crisis situations Education Doctorate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred Masters in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required.
