As the licensed Funeral Director, responsible for compliance with all mortuary, health, and vital statistics regulation compliance within the funeral establishment(s).Responsibilities Arrangements Conference: Receives or initiates call to deceased next of kin, exhibits concern and empathy, obtains or confirms contact information, briefly discusses needs (including languages), schedules arrangement appointments, and emails appointment confirmations. May perform removals or transfers adhering to company standards and processes. Cares for deceased in a respectful manner, updates removal status in proprietary software, greets next of kin and escorts to meeting space, initiates and facilitates arrangement conferences while assessing needs and summarizing desired outcomes, discusses available life insurance and benefits such as Veteran, promotes funeral, cemetery, and crematory services, and merchandise such as catering, flowers, music, and Ever Lasting Memory products. Transitions arrangement conference to Funeral Services Counselor/Advisor to present cemetery property and merchandise options, pricing, and contract completion. May perform FSA/FSC responsibilities in absence of an FSC/FSA, reviews and authorizes merchandise and service contract revisions, and confirms authorization to proceed with service arrangements.Presides as Master of Ceremonies (MC) for visitation, funeral, or graveside services in a professional, organized, and caring manner consistent with Company standards. Present for graveside services included in the purchase agreement, verifies removal of any personal belongings prior to burial, visually inspects deceased, adjusts casket dressing or attire, and communicates concerns to preparation staff. Inspects services arrangements against contractual arrangements and next-of-kin expectations; initiates corrective action as appropriate; may instruct or guide services team members. Interacts with family to fulfill death-care requests and obtains leads for pre-need services.Event Planning: Performs a variety of event‑planning responsibilities including resource planning and ordering of music, flowers, or catering to fulfill arrangement requests. Produces MeM products such as scanning photos, ordering memorabilia or stationery, creating electronic presentations, writing obituaries, and creating online memorials; prepares event rooms, sets up chairs, tables, flowers, guest books, and appropriate décor; cleans post‑event and stores items properly; delivers family memorabilia to home; may perform attendant duties such as parking lot attendant, driver, usher, pallbearer, or courier; may attend community or charity events to represent and promote the location or market.General Works: Works under general guidance. New associates learn to apply licensure to business environment, comply with regulations, policies, and procedures; work may be peer reviewed for accuracy and quality; collaborates with peers or manager for assistance and guidance. This RN will primarily take care of patients on our acute care floor, and will be responsible for caring for obstetric patients when they present for care. The L&D/ACU RN is responsible for the laboring care of an average of 4-5 patients/month, as well as performing NSTs and assessing pregnant women. When a laboring obstetric patient presents, the L&D/ACU RN is relieved of their acute care patients to focus on the obstetrical patient during the labor process.We are also willing to train the right candidate with acute care/medical/surgical experience, to obstetrics in an internship program. This candidate will need to have strong acute care, medical/surgical experience and a strong desire to further their skillset into obstetrics.Position includes a sign-on/retention bonus for qualified L&D/ACU RN’s of $10,000!
