About this Role The Project Controller at Crux Subsurface will provide support in the areas of job costing, financial reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, project execution, and project controls—liaising with the corporate accounting office, subcontractors, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders. What You'll Do Project Execution and Project Controls Collaborate with the Contract Administrator, Project Management, and Project Controls to monitor and identify contract change orders and budget revisions, ensuring completion of appropriate process. Manage outstanding change orders (COs); assist Project Management in all aspects of change management, including CO creation to closeout during invoicing. Manage Diversified Business Enterprise (DBE) Utilization Reporting. Work with Project Management to prepare project invoices, and process necessary corrections. Work closely with Project Manager to monitor invoice deadlines and preparing client billings, including preparation of draft and final invoices and applicable backup per client or project requirements. Provide project execution and accounting support as needed: Project accounting from contract award through project completion. Preparation or consultation on forecasts of costs, revenue, and cash flow. Project specific compliance, status reporting, and other requested or required activities. Job Costs and Project Performance Develop, analyze, interpret, and provide internal distribution of financial information, using Ecosys and other reporting software, to appraise operating results in terms of profitability and performance against budget. Assist Project Management in Ecosys to verify and reconcile accurate project costs, revenue, and reporting. Analyze project actual, committed, and planned costs on a very detailed basis to assess the appropriate Estimate at Completion (EAC). Review subcontractor invoices for compliance with contract. Invoicing and Accounts Receivable Work with Project Management to prepare project invoices, and process necessary corrections. Work with Accounts Receivable team to reconcile variances that occur in the application of client payments. Research any unbilled issues to optimize the billing possibilities for the billing period. Monitor invoice submission deadlines to clients and ensure timely receipt of subcontractor invoices and required backup documentation. Develop tools and checks to ensure timely and consistent delivery of Crux invoices to clients. Follow up with Clients on overdue payments. Other Items Assist with document management and record retention from project startup to closeout. Provide services as an internal auditor to ensure integrity of division financials. Develop and maintain positive relations with project team, back office support personnel, customers, vendors, and others. Assist with the enforcement of company policies and procedures, and adhering to federal, state, and local regulations during the execution of Company business under the direction of Senior Management. Comply documentation for internal and external audits as needed. What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field. Minimum five (5) years' experience in Project Accounting, including expertise in the Percentage of Completion Method used in Construction Accounting. Minimum of one (1) year experience in a Project Accounting role within an Engineering/Procure/Construct (EPC) environment. About this Role The Field Safety Professional at Crux Subsurface is responsible for supporting, educating and engaging within Field activities to support safe and production accomplishment of project related objectives. What You'll Do Participate in the pre-job analysis of project specific hazards and development of Health and Safety Plan and project safety execution plan. Review and investigate project specific safety objectives related to client and/or jurisdictional requirements and apply mitigation procedures aligned with Safety department and organizational goals. Perform Safety Orientation to newly hired individuals in accordance with departmental and organizational procedure. Maintain appropriate inventory of tools, equipment and PPE on assigned locations to ensure on-going compliance with expectations. Foster a culture of reporting significant occurrences within the workplace which assist in proactively and/or reactively identifying factual information, lessons learned, opportunity for process improvement and/or revision. Complete Daily Safety Report for each assigned shift summarizing activity related to project support including but not limited: identification/mitigation of hazards; summary of organizational compliance with project expectations; summary of project related personnel attitude and approach towards safety. Immediately intervene, execute and support Stop Work Authority when safety violation of unmitigated hazardous condition is observed/present. Support initial response to any injury, incident or near miss involving employees and/or equipment, supporting collection of factual information including but not limited to: Observations related to location – weather, conditions and other applicable Initial investigation and collection of factual information from witnesses to incident Participation in analysis of event, causal factors and corrective actions Perform Industrial Hygiene monitoring and maintenance or records in accordance with certification/training. Additional duties as assigned in accordance with training/certification: Operational Training Support development and implementation of training related to: Standard Operating Procedures Quality Assurance and Quality Compliance Activities Crew Leadership What You'll Bring Rigging and Signaling Trainer / Competent Person Certification/Designation NCCCO Crane Certification (preferred) Minimum 5 years’ experience in: Foundation Construction and Geotechnical Exploration OSHA 500/OSHA 510 (preferred) OSHA 30 certification (preferred) PTT 101, Crew Leadership, First Aid/CPR/AED Trainer (equivalent) Certification within 6 months of hire Demonstrated technical knowledge of Construction Safety. Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Word, Excel Ability to work in environments involving traversing steep slopes; helicopter transport in a variety of weather conditions. Ability to independently and apply appropriate safety mitigations with significant independent judgement and discretion. Ability to identify safety exposures and develop mitigation practices. Ability to provide presentation and training to a variety of audiences. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize, clarify and execute written and verbal instructions. Travel requirements: shift work up to 75% of calendar days. Prior experience in drilling/construction industry with responsibilities related to safety management and risk mitigation. Compensation The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $30.00/Hr. - USD $42.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
