Job Description Job Description JOIN OUR TEAM! We are a well-established, very busy, and growing private optometry practice with a reputation for excellence in patient care, and we are currently seeking an optician/optical salesperson. We are looking for someone who has a true passion to help patients see, look, and feel their absolute best and will enjoy making patients happy by effectively selling the best pair of glasses to meet their needs. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: accurately and thoroughly explaining vision insurance benefits to patients, assisting patients with frame styling and selection, recommending lenses and coatings to fit patient needs, frame repairs and adjustments, communicating with patients regarding their glasses orders, checking out patients and assisting with other receptionist duties as needed, etc. Duties also include placing lab orders, filing appropriate insurances involving optical orders, and checking in glasses with lensometer for accuracy and quality as needed. The ideal candidate for this position will be well-organized, have an exceptional attention to detail, and have a genuine desire to serve patients' eye care needs in a variety of capacities. Must be polished, professional, and possess outstanding people skills. We need someone with a true desire to help others, a neat and clean appearance, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with calmness, maturity, a positive attitude, and a smile! Although we are professional, we have a fun and relaxed work environment and need someone who enjoys working well with others, understands the importance of being part of a team, and takes pride in going above and beyond. Must have a warm, friendly, can-do attitude and love working with people, especially children. Optician or experience in optical sales preferred; knowledge of medical/vision insurances and Eyefinity is a plus.
