Job Overview Here at NOVA Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, we are the leading practices in our industry in the region. We are seeking to hire a full-time Medical Assistant to help us keep growing. This individual will join a multi-person team to provide professional and direct assistance on a regular, ongoing, and fast-paced basis. Responsibilities for Medical Assistant Assist PAs with medical treatments and procedures Assist Plastic Surgeons with medical treatments, procedures, and exams Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history Scribe and chart for Physicians Assist in the Surgery Center and OR Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments Manage inventory of medical supplies and equip exam rooms with appropriate supplies Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information to file and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients Check-out patients, assist in scheduling future appointments, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services Handle billing process Assist patients in purchasing medical-grade skincare products Qualifications for Medical Assistant Bachelor's degree; in related field preferred Strong interest in Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery Ability to always communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner Ability to work well in a small, high-energy organization; a team player willing to take on new challenges with demonstrated ability to partner with staff and member volunteers. Excellent interpersonal skills Exceptional attention to detail Excellent organizational and prioritization skills; able to handle multiple tasks, projects and priorities effectively and professionally.
