Purpose
The Lead Housekeeper supports the Campfield Facilities team with a focus on housekeeping and janitorial duties. Reporting to the Campfield Facilities Manager, this position will be responsible for daily cleaning of facilities. The Lead Housekeeper will work independently as well as collaborate with the Facilities Team, Campfield management, and seasonal staff. As a member of the Campfield team the Associate is a Snow Peak Brand ambassador and will reflect Snow Peak’s values in every interaction with guests and other staff.

FLSA : Non-exempt
Status : Full Time, Benefit-Eligible
Compensation : $22-$25
Reports To : Campfield Facilities Manager
Schedule : 30-40 hrs/wk, required schedule availability on holidays and weekends
Essential Duties
Housekeeping/Janitorial Operations
Monitor reservations including time of departure, time of arrival, and communicate operational status of rooms to the front desk and Facilities Manager
Coordinate with other housekeepers on shift, assign their daily tasks and responsibilities, and ensure all turns and arrivals for that day are clean on time and ready for check-in
Respond to guest questions and address escalated guest issues as needed
Respond to guest feedback and complaints, resolve issues, and ensure customers are satisfied
Support and lead training on housekeeping functions
Perform daily cleaning and housekeeping activities such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting
Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
Identify any damages, deficits and disturbances and notify Facilities Manager
Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate
Adhere strictly to rules and company policies regarding health and safety
Maintain trash and recycling programs across building and property grounds
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned
Requirements
Experience
2+ years working in housekeeping, preferably campground/resort
Skills
Proficient understanding of housekeeping and janitorial practices
Excellent verbal communication skills
Abilities
Ability to learn quickly; creatively solve new problems
Superior time management skills with a proven ability to efficiently manage time-sensitive priorities
Physical Effort
Work is performed in, on and around buildings, facilities and grounds, inside and outside in all weather conditions. Occasionally works in office operating computers and other office equipment
Needs adequate vision and hearing, manual dexterity, communication and motor skills to perform the duties of the position, including emergency response situations
Walks up and down inclines and stairs, over rough, uneven, and slippery terrain or paved surfaces
Works on ladders, scaffolds, and rooftops
Reaches above shoulder level and occasionally works on hands and knees
Bends, stoops, crouches, kneels, crawls, climbs, twists, pushes and pulls in regular performance of duties
May sit or stand for long periods of time
May work in congested work areas, confined spaces and remote locations
May be exposed to environmental and chemical hazards, allergens, and odors standard to area of assignment, such as high noise, chemicals, and fumes requiring safety controls
Cleans up and disposes of human-generated waste, animal waste and carcasses
Uses appropriate safety and personal protective equipment and follows established safety policies, practices and procedures
