We move fast, solve hard problems, and build systems that matter.**Position Overview**We are looking for a Software Developer/Engineer to support mission-critical programs in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area. You will design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions in secure, classified environments. This role requires someone who can work independently, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver production-quality code in environments where reliability is not optional.**Responsibilities*** Design, develop, and maintain software applications supporting federal mission requirements* Build and integrate RESTful APIs, microservices, and data pipelines in cloud and on-premise environments* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, DevSecOps, and data engineering* Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives* Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following established coding standards* Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues in production systems* Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and automated testing* Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC)* Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical documentation**Required Qualifications*** Active TS/SCI clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) – no exceptions* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)* 3+ years of professional software development experience* Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or C/C++* Experience with web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, Flask, Django, Spring Boot, or similar)* Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)* Experience working with Linux/Unix environments* Understanding of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows**Preferred Qualifications*** Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) or the Department of War (DoW) programs* Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CDK, ECS/EKS)* Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)* Experience with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)* Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (NIST 800-53, RMF, STIGs)* Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation)* Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent* Experience with data analytics platforms, search technologies, or identity management (Keycloak, OAuth/OIDC)**What We Offer*** Competitive salary* Opportunity to work on meaningful, mission-critical programs* A small company where your contributions are visible and valued – not buried in bureaucracy* Professional development support and training opportunities* Comprehensive Benefits*Data Pulse Tech LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
