The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for working with, overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities of a team of technicians. They will work closely with the Service Department Manager to ensure that all maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
The Lead Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for training and mentoring new technicians.
Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate the maintenance activities of a team of technicians
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment and facility problems
Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment and residential properties
Train and mentor new technicians
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
Maintain accurate maintenance records
Comply with all safety regulations
Build and maintain client relationships
Build and maintain maintenance plans for assigned groups of properties
Submit property reports
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in maintenance or a related field
Must have a strong understanding of all types of home maintenance issues
Must be able to read and understand job reports, descriptions, tasks, and assignments
Must be able to lift heavy objects and work in a variety of weather conditions
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
