A Better RVT Role — Without Burnout

If you're looking for a role where you can use your full skillset, feel supported by your team, and maintain work‑life balance, this is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Surgical and procedural support
No Overnights. Sustainable Schedule.
No overnight shifts
Limited major holidays
Paid birthday off
A Team That Supports You
We’ve built a culture where RVTs are respected, trusted, and supported — with strong communication and manageable workloads.
Real Growth Opportunities
Continuing education allowance + dedicated CE time
Mentorship and skill development
Exposure to urgent care cases
A Day in the Life as an RVT at AcutePet
Every shift is thoughtfully staffed and team‑oriented, so you’re supported from the moment you walk in — even though no two days are ever quite the same. That balance is part of what makes urgent care so rewarding.
You’ll start your day with a quick team huddle to review caseload, coverage, and priorities. As patients arrive, you’ll triage walk‑ins, assess urgency, and help keep patient flow smooth and organized.
Throughout the shift, you’ll:
Place IV catheters, collect samples, and run diagnostics
Assist with procedures and monitor anesthesia
Support DVMs with urgent cases (GI, wounds, minor trauma)
Take radiographs and collaborate on findings
Provide hands‑on nursing care and monitor recovering patients
You’ll also spend time educating and connecting with clients, helping them understand treatment plans and feel confident in their pet’s care.
It’s a fast‑paced environment — but highly collaborative. Our team communicates constantly and supports each other throughout the shift.
At the end of the day, you’ll leave knowing you made a real impact — without staying overnight or being called back in.
What We’re Looking For
Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in Ohio
Strong technical and patient care skills
ER or urgent care experience preferred (not required)
Calm, professional presence in fast‑paced situations
Team‑oriented with strong communication skills
Availability for evenings and/or weekends
