This role will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and provide leadership to a small accounting team. The position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, family‑oriented agency environment with long‑term growth potential.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations within an independent insurance agency environment

Perform general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting

Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial statement preparation

Support forecasting, auditing, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting activities

Monitor Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash flow activity, and banking relationships

Coordinate with external auditors during annual audit processes

Develop and maintain accounting procedures and operational controls to support compliance and reporting accuracy

Supervise and support a team of three accounting associates
