Spring Meadows A Villa Center is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant to join their team!! The State Tested Nursing Assistant helps patients/residents with comprehensive and personalized health care needs under the supervision of a nurse in OHIO Assisted Living Facilities. State Tested Nursing Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides physical support for patients/resident’s daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring to/from bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising. Turns and repositions bedridden patients. Ensures proper resident/patient diet based on their dietary restrictions. Examines patients for open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine. Notes and communicates patient/resident behavior and changes in mood. Cleans rooms and bed linens. Checks and records vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Answers to patient calls and needs. All other duties, as assigned.
State Tested Nursing Assistant Qualifications and Skills:
Good collaboration and teamwork skills with the nursing staff. Familiarity with symptoms and signs of improvement for a number of medical conditions. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
State Tested Nursing Assistant Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, preferred. State Certified Personal Care Assistant License/Certification in Ohio. Must be CPR Certified or be able to be certified within 3 months.
Physical Requirements:
Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required. Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
