Board Certified Behavior Analyst: Assessment Specialist
Job Description
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and credentialed BCBA to join our team as an Assessment Specialist. This role is exclusively dedicated to performing in-person assessments, conducting 2-3 assessments per week across New York City and Long Island. As an Assessment Specialist, you will not carry a caseload but will focus on delivering high-quality assessments to inform treatment planning for other clinical team members. Responsibilities:
Conduct 2-3 in-person assessments per week, including functional behavior assessments (FBA), skills assessments, and other relevant evaluation tools. Travel to client locations across NYC and Long Island for assessments. Prepare comprehensive, actionable assessment reports to support individualized treatment planning. Collaborate with clinical team members to ensure assessments are aligned with client treatment goals. Provide assessment feedback to families, caregivers, and team members as appropriate. Stay up-to-date with the latest assessment tools and best practices. Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Qualifications:
Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing. Credentialed and active Medicaid ID required. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a BCBA with a focus on assessments, preferred. Proficiency with assessment tools such as ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, and functional behavior assessments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel across NYC and Long Island.
