Cooperate with Hospital Administration or its designees in all matters related to the recovery of reimbursement for professional services performed under this Agreement including, but not limited to, the enrollment in all insurance plans designated by Hospital and reassignment of all reimbursements for hospitalist services to the Hospital. Assist in the development and implementation of clinical pathways, protocols, core measure compliance and other clinical effectiveness projects at the request of Hospital Administration or their designee. Comply with all Medical Staff Bylaws and rules and regulations and Hospital policies and procedures as currently exist or are hereinafter amended. Good Citizen Responsibilities: Maintain excellent working relationships with, and participate in the implementation and improvement of systems to provide excellent service to patients, physicians, colleagues, and Hospital staff. Participate in the resolution of patient and provider complaints and enhancement of patient and provider satisfaction as measured by periodic surveys. Maintain excellent working relationships and communication with the other physician members of the Hospitalist practice, support personnel provided to the Hospitalist practice, Hospital administration, and Medical Staff leadership. Participate as requested by the Hospitalist practice Medical Director, in periodic team meetings, e-mail and/or other communication methods to foster effective working relationships and reduce variation in practice patterns. Complete and maintain adequate and proper medical records with respect to all patients examined or treated in accordance with all legal, accreditation, regulatory and third party payor requirements. Attend periodic meetings to review the effectiveness and performance of the Hospitalist program and its providers. Participate in community benefit programs or other activities as requested. Qualifications: Current licensure in the State of Connecticut and DEA registration. Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine. Current ACLS certification. Membership in and maintenance of appropriate privileges at Bristol Hospital Medical Staff. What you’ll do:

As the Manufacturing Engineer for Utilimaster (A Shyft Brand) based at our facility in Bristol, IN , you will enjoy developing and maintaining the manufacturing systems needed to drive continuous improvement in areas of cost, quality, safety, lead time, and use of working capital.

This role focuses on optimizing production processes by analyzing workflows, conducting time studies, and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S methodology. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering and production teams to select, design, and implement tooling and equipment.

Additionally, they will assist in the design and layout of production lines using AutoCAD software. Occasional travel to support operations at other company locations is required.

You will also:

Evaluate tools and equipment options that will improve productivity and eliminate hazards

Plan and estimate new manufacturing processes and operations

Implement lean manufacturing principles such as visual controls, pull inventory systems, workplace organization, material flow routes, and material delivery methods (kitting, kanban, milk routes, etc.)

Monitor and correct safety and ergonomic issues

Develop and organize lean events

Assist with the NPI process and support the War On Waste (WOW) program

Evaluate new projects for layout optimization, opportunities for automaton, material delivery and presentation, material flow, and operator work envelopes

Develop standard work for existing and new processes

Perform workstation audits to optimize the operator envelope and density

Drive continuous improvement and eliminate waste

Aid in workstation load balancing for all manufacturing areas

Partner cross-functionally with engineering, materials, purchasing, and sales to resolve issues

Collaborate with management to gain approval for investments in new machinery and equipment that will improve manufacturing and assembly operations

What you need to be successful:

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing engineering experience

Two or more (2+) years of related manufacturing engineering experience

Versed in working in a low volume/high variation manufacturing operation

Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, etc)

Experience with time studies and production analysis techniques

Proficiency in computer-aided design systems (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred)

Project management skills

A history of starting, implementing, and bringing projects to closure on time and within budget

Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Sound judgment with the ability to make timely, and sometimes difficult, decisions

Versatility, flexibility, and the willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
