The all-new Madison Resort Wildwood Crest, formerly known as the Oceanview Motel is a beach front property that was built in 1963, and at the time was the largest motel ever built in The Wildwoods. Recently purchased by Madison Resorts, this property was recently fully restored and won Best New Hotel by USA Today for 2025! The property consists of a hotel, which boasts over 200 hotel rooms, multiple restaurants, multiple pools, and of course beach service with much more to come in future years. Summary: The hourly role of the Lead Restaurant Supervisor is to supervise all aspects of the restaurant front-of-the-house (FOH) activities and personnel leading to new reservations and returning reservations while maintaining quality guest service, guest satisfaction, and to assist the Food & Beverage Manager as directed.
Responsibilities:
Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures. Ensures guest interactions are always positive. Smiles with every guest. Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example. Reviewing and approving employee timecards. Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. Hire, train, manage, and develop employees within responsible areas. Work and be flexible in being scheduled as needed full time. Manage the flow of dining room seating. Have detailed knowledge of seating capacities, station assignments, and storage areas. Confirm and review reservations on an ongoing basis. Train hostesses, servers, and runners/bussers. Both formally and at pre-shift. Review and monitor/reinforce dining room service standards. Maintain rapport and communicate effectively with other departments and department managers. Assign and monitor that side work for service staff is being executed, discuss all details with pertinent parties regarding any functions held within the restaurant to ensure efficient and quality service. Schedule setup, service and supervision of each work shift. Establish a working money bank for working each shift, secure all payments and end of night shift, and prepare night deposits with bank deposit slips. Has extensive knowledge of menu, daily specials, promo's offerings, and is able to convey overall knowledge of property events and locations. This role may cover shifts as a server or counter server when needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. (2) two years' experience minimum in the restaurant industry. Expected to work on weekends, mandatory events, and holidays. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
