Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty: School of Law Quinnipiac University's School of Law invites applications for a tenure track faculty to join our collaborative community for the opportunity to make a significant impact inspiring and mentoring students in the field of law. We are open to both entry-level and lateral candidates. Areas of curricular need are projected to include but are not limited to courses in Contracts, Health Law, Evidence, Business Organizations, Civil Procedure, Commercial Law, Family Law, Trusts & Estates. We particularly encourage applications from candidates whose backgrounds would enhance the diversity of our faculty. About the School: The Quinnipiac University School of Law is a student-centered law school with an outstanding and accessible teaching faculty, a 6:1 student-to-faculty ratio, an impressive range of externship and clinical opportunities, and a focus on collaboration and mentoring. The law school resides in a state-of-the-art facility on the university’s North Haven Campus, with a dynamic community of advanced programs including Quinnipiac’s School of Medicine. Quinnipiac Law enrolls almost 400 students pursuing a juris doctor degree or one of six joint degrees (combined degrees with other disciplines), including the JD/MBA. The law school offers concentrations in civil advocacy and dispute resolution; criminal law and advocacy; cybersecurity and information privacy; family law; health law; intellectual property; international law and policy; tax law; and workplace law. Quinnipiac is fully approved by the American Bar Association and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools. Responsibilities:
Teach assigned courses, advise and mentor students, and evaluate student performance. Produce and publish legal scholarship. Engage with bar groups or other law-related service organizations. Participate in faculty governance and law school administration. Contribute to bar passage and licensure initiatives (for Academic Excellence candidates).
Education Requirements:
JD required.
Qualifications:
Excellent academic record. Record of, or demonstrated potential for, outstanding teaching and scholarly achievements. Some prior exposure to legal practice, such as employment, clinical work, or judicial clerkship. Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
