Pay: $22.50 without MAP/ $23.50 with MAP certification Responsibilities Essential Functions Assist Residence Director with the oversight of the day-to-day operations of the assigned residence, including:
A. Direct Care
Ensure that all individuals are treated with respect, dignity and support to take as much control as possible over routines activities in their home. Teach, assist and support individuals in the community and at home to learn, practice, and master skills that enable them to enhance their status by assuming socially valued roles. Support each individual’s existing relationships and increase their networks of friends and acquaintances. Ensure that all individuals are supported to explore and express their interest for community membership. Participate in individual advocacy system. Maintain neatness and cleanliness of individual’s bedrooms. Maintain regular contact and a positive relationship with individual’s family members/guardians, providing status updates, scheduling visits, and acting as a positive liaison. Assist individuals with household shopping and maintenance as necessary.
B. Staff Supervision and Program Leadership
Assist with supervising staff directly and act as a team leader. Promote and positively role model the philosophy, mission, and core values of the organization. Take a leadership role in advocacy with and on behalf of the individuals. Facilitate teamwork between all team members via open communication. Provide on-call coverage as assigned/trained.
C. ISP and Care Plan Implementation
Implement ISP/Support Plans and strategies as written. Monitor and maintain individual’s ISP program book to ensure data collection. Review data collection monthly and prepare written progress notes as required. Train staff in the implementation of intervention strategies. Ensure that the health and wellbeing of individuals are met.
D. Crisis Management
Respond effectively to potential safety hazards and emergencies. Initiate contact with supervisors as needed in the event of concerns and/or crises.
E. Administrative Duties
Assist with safeguarding sensitive and confidential data. Participate in supervision meetings with the Residence Director. Assist with completing financial documentation and performance evaluations. Actively participate in staff meetings. 4. Maintain all required certifications such as medication administration, First Aid & CPR. 5. Successfully complete all required training in a timely manner. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
18+ years old High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Driver’s License & Good Driving Record Prior direct care experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer, or school history) Prior supervisory experience preferred Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification preferred Basic computer literacy/proficiency preferred BA degree or current enrollment
