Role Overview Inspire and mentor a team of mechanical engineers to develop innovative and cost-effective designs in support of patient care. Efficiently manage team workflow to support a wide range of projects including proof-of-concept, product development, and sustaining engineering. Develop and maintain industry-leading tools for the group, including CAD and FEA software, 3D printers, and an in-house machine shop. Serve as a primary technical contributor in defining concepts for new system architectures. As a working manager, contribute individually to the development of new designs and design verification. As a critical member of the engineering department management team, help define and drive improvements to increase the quality, speed, and impact of our product development process. Core Requirements Doctoral degree in mechanical engineering or related field with at least 7 years of product development experience.  At least 4 years of experience managing a team of mechanical engineers.
