Position Summary: The Manufacturing Process Engineer will evaluate & develop methods to improve efficiency, maximize output, and minimize scrap while maintaining product quality and a safe work environment. This position focuses primarily on the production floor, is very team-focused, implements streamlined processes, and is very product-oriented to produce results. This person will also be using Solidworks Cad software frequently for plant layout and jig & fixture tooling. This position reports to the Engineering Manager. Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze manufacturing processes to ensure operations are capable of producing at the expected level of product quality & volume of productivity. Recommend changes as needed. Ensure new equipment and associated processes are operating as intended after machine installation and process implementation. Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing departments on the design, development, and validation of new manufacturing processes. Encourage efficient use of floor space in collaboration with the Manufacturing department when laying out work cells. Conduct PFMEAs, as needed, to address high-risk and/or recurring manufacturing issues. Communicate with Engineering and Production to coordinate efforts to resolve equipment or process issues that delay or halt production progress.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field required. 2-10 years experience in a similar role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
