DinoMites Camp Aides and Day Camp Leaders Job Title: Camp Aides and Day Camp Leaders - DinoMites Department: Fruita Community Center Salary Range: $15.68 - $18.80 per hour, depending upon position and qualifications. Benefits: Sick time is available under Healthy Families Workplaces Act (1 hour for every 30 hours worked). Supervisor: Miranda Carrithers FLSA Status: Non-Exempt SUMMARY: The City of Fruita is currently accepting applications for Camp Aides and Camp Leads to oversee our DinoMites Camp at the Fruita Community Center. Responsibilities include supervising 45 kids ages 5-10 while they do crafts, team build, swim, enjoy field trips, perform science experiments, and play outdoor activities; assisting in implementation of weekly schedules of your camp group; assisting in leading a variety of small and large group activities; ensuring camp areas are kept clean and organized (including bathrooms); and understanding and enforcing emergency procedures, rules, and regulations, and safety guidelines associated with DinoMites. QUALIFICATIONS: Camp Aides must be at least 16 years of age and Day Camp Leaders must be at least 18 years of age. Applicants must be CPR/First Aid certified or be able to become certified (will be paid by the City of Fruita if not currently certified). Candidates must complete 15 hours of required training before camp starts and have the ability to successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation.
