Lithium Nevada Corporation’s (LNC) proposed Thacker Pass Project (Project) is intended to become a premier lithium mining and processing operation in the United States. The Project will consist of an open pit mine and related process facilities. The processing plant is proposed to be developed in two phases, with the first phase treating an average of 40,000 mtpa of battery grade lithium carbonate per annum during the first 3.5 years of production. Additional equipment and infrastructure will be installed as part of the second phase to increase production to 80,000 mtpa of LCE end products. The Project is located approximately 20 miles west-northwest of Orovada, 62 miles north-northwest of Winnemucca, and approximately 20 miles south of the Oregon border, in the north-central portion of Humboldt County, Nevada. Primary access to the Project will be provided via Nevada State Route 293 (SR-293) from US Highway 95 (US-95). Job Summary: In this role, you will manage the project transportation contract. Overseeing a national bus transportation company responsible under your direction to provide all daily and ad hoc transportation requirements for the project. Assist with development and implementation of site shuttle transportation provided by General Services group. Major Responsibilities:
Ensure the service provider is adhering to all safety practices (maintenance and cleaning) required to perform the scope safely. Conduct frequent inspections of the service provider's maintenance logs. Identify any gaps in scope or performance and correct with the support of Bechtel contracts. Develop an efficient service schedule in conjunction with Construction and Labor Relations to support project working hours. Develop town shuttle schedule for recreation. Develop and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on the contract performance.
Education and Experience Requirements:
8-10 years of relevant experience in the passenger transportation service industry. OSHA 30 certification.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of high-volume company passenger transport scheduling. A minimum of 8 years in a supervisory capacity within the passenger transport industry. Experience scheduling and monitoring passenger transport services in a construction or commercial environment. Understanding of mechanical maintenance scheduling.
