Our newly formed organization, Microsoft AI (MAI), focuses on Copilot and other consumer AI products and research. We combine world-class AI research with top-notch design and product craft. The wider team is responsible for Copilot, Bing, Edge, and generative AI research, while the Mobile Engineering team leads and builds the mobile experience of Copilot on iOS and Android, collaborating closely with Product Management, Design, and AI Research teams. As a Technical Program Manager for Copilot AI, you will operate at the intersection of product development, customer insights, and research, shaping the evolution of transformative AI solutions. Your responsibilities include managing the customer feedback lifecycle, driving strategic prioritization, documentation, and analysis to enhance product experiences. You will synthesize feedback into actionable insights, streamline processes, and uphold high standards of quality for continuous improvement and impactful features. We are looking for candidates who are:
Passionate about customer engagement and feedback. Able to manage timelines and schedules for critical launches. Initiative-taking and enjoy building world-class consumer experiences in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Savvy with data, deriving insights from feedback, and triaging issues until resolution. Positive, empathetic, and effective in communication. Capable of managing multiple responsibilities and adapting to shifting priorities.
Location requirement: By applying to this U.S. role in Mountain View, CA, you must be local to the San Francisco area and in the office 3 days a week. Responsibilities include:
Managing the product feedback lifecycle: coordinating end-to-end customer feedback, triaging, reporting, dashboarding, analysis, ensuring high-quality Copilot experiences. Championing product quality: reviewing feedback, providing analysis, and improving processes. Coordinating cross-team collaboration: working with engineering, data science, and product stakeholders. Leveraging data and insights: defining success metrics, correlating improvements to usage, influencing roadmaps. Fostering a growth mindset: mentoring, managing vendors, sharing best practices. Applying technical expertise: understanding product and system architecture to identify root causes and drive improvements. Driving scalable solutions: designing repeatable processes and frameworks for operational stability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development, or equivalent experience. 1+ year managing cross-functional projects.
Preferred qualifications include:
Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent. 4+ years managing cross-team projects. 1+ year experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., documentation, demos).
