Job Description and Duties: The National Sales Manager at Williams Athletic Club will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the brand’s footprint across the golf and specialty retail markets. This role involves managing and nurturing relationships with key accounts, including country clubs, golf e-tailers, specialty and department stores, while identifying new opportunities to grow the business. The manager will develop and execute sales strategies, oversee forecasting and reporting, and work closely with the marketing team to align efforts with brand initiatives. A key part of the role includes attending trade shows and industry events, such as the PGA Show, to represent the brand and stay ahead of market trends. Leadership is critical, as the National Sales Manager will recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team as we grow. Travel will be required to meet with clients and foster relationships in this dynamic and fast-growing company. Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth across multiple channels, including country clubs, specialty retailers, and department stores. Market Expansion: Identify new opportunities within the golf industry and specialty retail sector to expand the Williams Athletic Club footprint. Account Management: Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, ensuring excellent customer service and consistent communication. Team Building: Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing sales team as the business scales. Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align sales initiatives with brand campaigns and product launches, including the upcoming 2025 Spring collection. Forecasting & Reporting: Set sales targets, manage budgets, and provide regular performance reports to senior leadership. Industry Expertise: Attend trade shows (e.g., PGA Show) and networking events to represent the brand and stay ahead of industry trends. Other: Show a willingness to take on key projects and tasks as necessary to drive the business.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or a related field.
Skills and Experience:
7+ years of sales experience, with a focus on golf apparel or related industries. Proven track record of success in managing national accounts and driving revenue growth. Strong network within the golf and specialty retail markets (country clubs, department stores, e-tailers, etc.). Leadership experience with the ability to build and manage a sales team. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Willingness to travel extensively to meet with clients and attend industry events. Passion for golf and understanding of its culture and market dynamics is a significant plus. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy. Adaptability in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
