Overview We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team supporting Defense Logistics Agency’s (DLA) Endpoint Security System (ESS) contract. The candidate will be responsible for operating and sustaining the DLA (Unclassified and Classified) ESS applications and application servers. They will manage the Endpoint security servers and Operating systems within the DLA network and ensure the technical enterprise sustainment activities on the DLA servers and server-related infrastructure are performed as required. Responsibilities & Qualifications Performs a variety of routine project tasks applied to specialized Cybersecurity problems, including integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to cybersecurity requirements. Analyzes information security requirements. Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning. Provides security engineering support for planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, integration of information systems. Coordinate and ensure ESS application product updates, to include hotfixes, patches and Service Packs are applied as mandated. Deployment of upgrades to existing Endpoint Security modules on DLA managed systems. Apply System Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and Tier 1 (USCC/ DISA) order directives to all applicable ESS products with AOR and provide documentation in the event it cannot be applied. Work with audit teams as required and applicable to the ESS project in the event of an audit or remediation.
Required Skills:
Knowledge of and experience with implementation of security technologies and architecture, including network security, firewall configuration, intrusion detection, data loss prevention and application security. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement information security policies, procedures, standards, and practices. Strong written and verbal communication with solid presentation skills are a must. Knowledge of security & risk frameworks, standards, and best practices. Experience in vulnerability management, including testing, scanning, and patching. Experience conducting and mitigating security/risk assessments. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision (i.e. self-motivated and willing to stretch to meet important deadlines). Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional team environment. Technical writing skills.
Required Qualifications:
Seven (4) years of relevant IT experience. Required to possess a DOD SECRET Clearance, and be eligible for an IT-II upon assignment. Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority. Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 IAT level II (One of the Following): CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, CECND, SSCP.
Relevant certification meeting DOD 8570.01 CNDSP-IS (One of the Following): CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND.
Computing Environment Certification: HBSS Administrator, HBSS Advanced.
