Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions Maintains and improves customer satisfaction. Responsible and accountable for meeting and/or exceeding sales objectives within specified periods (e.g. monthly, quarterly, annually). Meets or exceeds revenue objectives. Identifies and develops new business opportunities, increasing revenues. Maintains existing business relationships/revenues. Minimizes attrition and cancellations. Maintains sales call activity with frequency necessary to meet sales and business objectives. Develops, prepares, and presents proposals, financial forecasts, budgets, and other reports as requested. Maintains pricing sufficient to meet business objectives. Maintains working knowledge of RIS, RTS, vendor profiles, and their capabilities and regulatory requirements. Coordinates sales activities with sales support to ensure safety and compliance. Monitors marketplace trends and activities and recommends strategies to react to changing market conditions. Participates in the formulation of budgets and forecasts. Controls business expenses within established guidelines. Actively participates in sales meetings and training as required. Daily use of advanced PC and business computer applications, telephone conferencing, and e-mail. Understands RES’ ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and assists with executing its objectives. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field required. Equivalent experience may be considered. Formal sales training is a plus. Strong technical aptitude/background with an understanding of manufacturing processes. Five or more years of successful sales experience in the environmental services industry. Working knowledge of environmental and related regulations (RCRA, CWA, CAA, etc.). Strong knowledge of various hazardous waste disposal technologies (incineration, waste water treatment, landfill, fuel blending, etc.). Demonstrated ability to work independently, growing a sales territory, and meeting sales objectives. Desire and ability to travel extensively (80%). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Customer contact is required. Excellent communication, organization, interpersonal, and presentation skills are necessary. Strong work ethic and commitment to safety, compliance, and quality. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Ability to develop comprehensive reports and analyses. Valid driver's license required.
