Description Full Time, Full Year Position
Job Purpose: Serve as the support system for the Head of School and senior leaders enabling them to focus on strategic goals and core responsibilities by managing their daily operations and administrative tasks. Core Competencies: Organization, Communication, Confidentiality, Detail oriented Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively manage the HoS's and general School calendars, scheduling internal and external meetings, appointments, and calls, ensuring time conflicts are avoided Anticipate the needs of the HoS keeping them on task and time commitments First point of contact for HoS office to assess and redirect to appropriate resource Record and distribute minutes for meetings on behalf of the HoS Act as a liaison between the Board and the Administration. Provide Board support, which includes distributing board materials, scheduling, planning and attending meetings, and taking minutes Plan and manage travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation, ensuring a seamless experience Manage and monitor the administrative process for faculty evaluations Support the Dean of Faculty planning and organizing applicant interviews Work with the Events Manager by representing the HoS office for school wide events including arrival and opening days, commencement, professional development, closing days, etc. Assists with special projects as assigned by the Head of School Organize and distribute a weekly employee e-newsletter to the employee community Prepare reports and/or presentations as requested Oversee the implementation of the life event and milestone program by ensuring employees receive appropriate recognition Pursue continuous professional growth and development Continually strive to improve and enhance processes and systems Must adhere to all school policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook Continually meet or exceed Pomfret School’s Standards of Behavior, Character, and Engagement
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred At least 5 years of administrative experience working for a senior leader Excellent interpersonal skills Organized, highly discrete, and professional Experience working with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
