Industrial Project Manager
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight : Lead all project phases with professionalism, ensuring direction, alignment of resources, and high-standard execution. Client Engagement : Initiate client contact to assess project scope, resources, and requirements. Project Management : Supervise construction efforts, including safety, quality, design, budget, and schedule adherence. Coordination : Interface with clients, A-E representatives, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. Scheduling & Budgeting : Create, manage, and update project schedules and financials, ensuring efficient cost control and timely delivery. Contract Management : Write and manage subcontracts, change orders, and additional work estimates. Problem-Solving : Address challenges proactively, ensuring productivity, efficient material use, and contractual compliance. Team Development : Coach, mentor, and develop Project Engineers to build a strong team. Closeout : Oversee project closeout, ensuring financials, reporting, and documentation are completed effectively.
Required Skills & Competencies
Leadership : Proven ability to manage diverse teams and lead projects to success. Technical Expertise : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Primavera, AutoCAD, and Viewpoint software. Problem-Solving : Exceptional analytical and planning skills with a results-driven mindset. Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels. Industrial Expertise : Experience in the automotive sector and industrial construction preferred.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field required. Experience : 7+ years of experience in heavy industrial project management. Certifications : OSHA certification preferred, with PMP or equivalent a plus.
