This is where your work saves lives. We currently have an opening for a versatile Analytical Chemist who can execute lab experiments and facilitate Operational Excellence in the Medication Delivery R&D chemistry lab in Round Lake, Illinois, as well as: Effectively contribute basic technical knowledge and skills to a variety of projects within relevant discipline. Interact effectively with a variety of disciplines. Conduct routine research and design experiments with some assistance.
What you'll be doing:
Contribute routine scientific knowledge or expertise to research and development activities for achievement of project goals and solve routine experimental design or research problems with some assistance. Under direction, conduct routine research and/or developmental activities. This may include wet chemistry sample preparation and mass spectrometric analyses. Plan details of assigned tasks within specific parameters. Organize data and prepare relevant documentation for assigned projects. Write and issue reports with minimal guidance. Understand and apply applicable corporate and divisional SOPs. Maintain knowledge of relevant quality and safety requirements. Employ appropriate techniques and methods to successfully conduct specific assignments within negotiated deadlines after receiving general instruction. Demonstrate working knowledge of basic technical theories and principles within area of expertise for routine tasks. Develop knowledge and understanding of GxP and related regulations and guidance. Assess feasibility of simple research and design concepts within area of expertise.
What you'll bring:
Bachelors degree with 0-1 years of experience. Possess relevant laboratory/technical, writing, and computer skills. Able to work in a team environment appropriately supporting others. Self motivated and takes personal responsibility for getting the job done. Ability to organize and clearly communicate information. Understand importance of project schedules and impact of not achieving milestones. Able to adapt to shifting priorities. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000 to $99,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
