Sanitation (Finance)
Position Summary Serve our internal customers by sanitizing production equipment and cleaning the facility according to established company standards to ensure the cleanliness of the facility, production, and equipment.
Essential Functions
Performs internal and external sanitation of production equipment according to established company standards to ensure cleanliness of equipment. Maintains cleanliness of the facility and assists in recycling efforts (e.g. gathers trash and damaged materials, cleans up spills, picks up and empties trash and recycling materials, cleans floors, carpets, and offices). Ensures foaming station and other sanitation equipment are operating according to established standards. Stocks beverage coolers in the conference room; maintains and stocks inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and other materials (e.g. paper towels, cleaners, soap). Performs startup of production equipment (e.g. depalletizer, filler, palletizer) to begin production process and ensures equipment is operating properly and containers are being filled and packaged according to established company standards. Adheres to all company policies, standards, and procedures (e.g. OSHA and safety requirements, AIB and Pepsi standards, Federal/State/Local Laws); wears all required personal protective equipment. Communicates with co-workers regarding the status of the cleaning process and any issues that may arise during the production process; supervisor regarding questions or issues with daily assignments. Completes daily check sheet reports, time-off requests, and other required paperwork according to established standards. Trains new employees to perform the Sanitation job duties according to established standards. Works assigned schedule, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, and works overtime as needed to meet workload demands. Performs other related duties as required. Transports raw materials (e.g. cans, bottles, lids, empty shells, and pallets) from the designated storage area to the production line according to established standards (e.g. materials being transported and delivered safely) to ensure that our production demands are met.
Education Level Minimum - High School or GED
Experience 6 months to 1 year of sanitation experience. Experience with a beverage company or similar industry is strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements Knowledge of: production and sanitation process; beverage industry; uses of different chemicals utilized in sanitation process; general management principles; be trained on operating the startup of production line equipment.
