Humana Senior Business Intelligence Engineer Columbus , Ohio Apply Now Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Humana Enterprise Operations Enablement (EOE) - CPSS Data & Analytics team is a high performing team focused on data, data visualization and data science supporting Humana’s Service Operations. The team is focused on converting data to actionable insights for our business partners who can utilize to reduce administrative cost and improve the customer’s experience. The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer position will be supporting BI work for our Resolution organization. Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains robust T-SQL queries and stored procedures Designs and implements scalable data models to support business intelligence and analytics requirements Utilizes Power Platforms (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations Collaborates with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications Performs data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business performance improvements Presents findings and recommendations to leadership in a clear and concise manner Mentors junior team members and provides technical guidance and support as needed
Required Qualifications:
5 or more years of strong Data Analytics experience 5 or more years of technical experience in SQL with advanced experience in T-SQL Experience in the development of interactive reports using Power BI and/or similar product Advanced data analytics skills and reporting experience to include working with large complex data sets within large organizations Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership Proven experience with consulting with and building relationships with business partners Critical thinker who can anticipate team needs and take initiative to present ideas, ask the right questions and deliver the highest quality work Self-starter that can work independently with minimal direction and takes ownership and anticipates future consequences and trends accurately Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with or within the Resolution business area Intermediate skills in Power Apps and Power Automate Advanced technical skills with Databricks and/or Databricks Certification Experience with Azure and/or other cloud reporting systems or experience in Cloud design Strong working experience/technical skills with Python and C# programming languages Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Statistics, Economics or related field Expertise in creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors Expertise in operational reporting Prior or recent experience in conducting forecasting or trend analysis Process documentation and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience
Additional Information:
Work Style: Remote Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: $89,000 - $121,400 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
