Your Role: As Document Controller, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that all project documentation is effectively managed, stored, and distributed. You’ll support high-profile Construction and M&E projects, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:
Document Control & Management:
Manage construction documentation, instructions, and client feedback via project portals / intranet. Maintain contract documentation, ensuring accessibility for relevant teams. Oversee handover documentation, including as-built drawings and O&M manuals. Ensure all documents are QA-checked, approved, and uploaded accurately. Distribute documents promptly to the appropriate teams. Liaise with internal / external teams to guarantee accuracy and clarity. Address client feedback and escalate issues as needed. Support project setup and Aconex training for principal contractor jobs.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
Continuously monitor, evaluate, and improve document management processes. Ensure compliance with GDPR, Health & Safety regulations, and internal quality standards.
General Support:
Collaborate across departments to enhance efficiency and maintain best practices. Participate in mandatory Health & Safety and corporate refresher training.
What You’ll Bring:
Previous experience in a Document Control role within Construction or M&E. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent organisational skills, able to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, working closely with key business teams. A proactive, flexible approach to work. Advanced IT skills, particularly in Word & Excel. Familiarity with Project Intranets (Aconex, Kahua, Conject, Asite/Viewpoint).
