Central Ohio Primary Care is looking for a Phlebotomist to join our Olentangy Draw Station in Columbus, OH! Phlebotomist orders and transmits lab orders in the computer system. Responsibilities include processing blood, urine, stool specimens according to Laboratory procedures. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 9:30a-6p with an occasional Saturday 8a-12p. Duties/Responsibilities:

Ordering/Transmitting lab orders in computer system. Assists in care of patient prior to, during, and after phlebotomy. Communicates with patients of all ages in a manner which promotes a comfortable and professional atmosphere. Before performing blood draws verify patient name and date of birth. Correct any diagnosis errors that flag in system. Perform blood draws. Place patient name and date of birth on tube(s) in front of patient. Has knowledge of all routine containers and minimum volumes required for collection. Processing of blood and urine specimens. Stocks inventory and maintains a clean work area.
