Field Service Technician
Job Description
Purpose of Job Service Technicians work in the field, traveling to customer locations to provide service, maintenance, and installation. They use their technical skills to troubleshoot issues when they arise to keep the customer’s equipment functioning properly. Role and Responsibilities
Use diagnostic capabilities to identify issues relating to equipment at customer’s sites. Fix defective or broken machinery or equipment; order appropriate parts as needed to replace faulty or worn-out parts. Install and test new equipment and machinery, while providing detailed training to customers. Weld, cut, grind, and use appropriate hand tools to repair or replace faulty or broken parts or equipment. May work out of aerial or scissors lifts on job sites to reach desired equipment. Maintain professionalism with every customer and on any job. Follow all customer or job site rules and regulations. In the absence of any or if not as stringent, refer to Doyle Company Policies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED Class E License Welding experience and mechanical knowledge Able to leave for a job at any time. Able to work some weekends. Willing to be gone for a week at a time. Valid Driver’s License Good attitude and works well in a team atmosphere. Ability to learn new skills, technology, and equipment as industry changes.
Preferred Skills
Class A CDL CPR/First Aid Certification Extensive travel is required
Working Conditions May perform work which includes manual labor in the shop or at a customer’s location. Will at times be exposed to heat, cold, inclement weather, noise, vibration, welding sparks, grease, oil, and diesel fuel. #J-18808-Ljbffr
