Salary: $26.00 - $43.00 per hour Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive care to patients in an emergency room setting; Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a collaborative manner with health teams; Ensure accurate maintenance of patients' medical records and monitor data for completeness and accuracy; Administer medications according to established medication administration principles, policies, and procedures; Support and educate patients and their families after providing for health care needs; Implement treatment plans, monitor patient outcomes, and initiate change when necessary; Follow all guidelines and policies for prompt and efficient emergency room care.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program; Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama or a compact state; Current BLS (CPR) certification required; ACLS, PALS certification; At least 1 year of recent experience in emergency room or acute care setting; Proficient with medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care; Familiarity with documentation and health information systems, e.g., Cerner EHR.
Preferred Qualifications:
Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification; Experience working in high volume emergency departments; Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions under pressure; Excellent communication skills and a strong team player; Experience in guiding and training junior nurses and other direct care staff.
