The Civil Service Board is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Testing for the position must be completed through the National Testing Network www.nationaltestingnetwork.com . Continuous Testing: The City of Lima offers CONTINUOUS TESTING. Candidates who pass the exam with 70% or higher will be certified to the eligible list. Rate of Pay: $29.28 per hour Vouchers: Residents of Allen Co, OH may receive a voucher to cover the cost of the entry-level exam. Candidates must show proof of residency. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Under general supervision, enforces law; assists in investigations; prepares and maintains police records; maintains personal and professional competence and awareness. Performs other related duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: The training, education and work experience which indicate possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities listed below. The minimum acceptable qualifications for this position are: Completion of high school education and training and experience involving considerable contact with the public. Must pass the Civil Service Examination for the position. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s license. Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and not fifty-one years of age or older at the time of appointment.
