Physician - OBGyn, General OBGyn (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Apply at Medical Center Campus Time Type: Full time Posted on: Posted Yesterday Job Requisition ID: R101573 Job Title: Physician - OBGyn, General OBGyn (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Department: The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an academic general obstetrician-gynecologist to join the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview The Department of OB/GYN seeks an outstanding obstetrician-gynecologist for a full-time position within the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This is an exciting opportunity to expand the Department’s services. Ideal candidates are board-certified or eligible physicians who are interested in resident education and direct patient care in an academic center. Members of the division supervise resident continuity clinics, the gynecology teaching service, and provide in-hospital gynecologic consultation. Additionally, they have an active role in medical student education. The division has an active faculty practice at 5 outpatient sites and one labor and delivery facility. Providers include 20 obstetrician-gynecologists, 3 gynecologists, and 7 nurse-midwives. Faculty expertise includes minimally invasive surgery, family planning, vulvar disease, menopause, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and breastfeeding. Requirements MD or DO or equivalent Successful completion of an accredited residency training program Obtain licensure from the State of Ohio Medical Board Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Faculty Defined Clinical faculty - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a doctor of medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research. Tenure-Track faculty - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care. Research Faculty - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research.
