Load Controller
Job Description
Overview Job Summary: The Load Controller is responsible for managing and overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo in accordance with safety regulations and operational standards. This role ensures that cargo is properly loaded, balanced, and secured to optimize space and maintain safety during transit. Load planning, building full loads as well as multi-stop loads with routing optimization using e2open. Build transfer loads from the plant to the freezer using e2open. Build transfer loads from the freezer to the plant using e2open. Communicate with the sales office regarding order date changes, product shortages, product date issues, and load weight adjustment needs. Notify sales when starting to load trailers if additional weight is needed to fill the load. Create a daily listing of any loads needing additional weight using the shared Excel truck list. Determine the daily loading order of trailers based on distance of travel, product availability, and customer needs. Create pick lists and placards for order pickers and loaders. Communicate customer requirements with the order picker and loader to ensure a clear understanding of load order, temperature requirements, date restrictions, Halal labeling if required, and any special loading requirements. Assist billing clerks with questions regarding loaded trailers. Coordinate with billing clerks and dock supervisors in the shipping, labeling, and inspection of export orders.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Must be 18 years of age or older. Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. Must be able to work in a humid, cold, wet, or slippery environment at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts while using personal protective equipment (P.P.E).
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience/knowledge of a manufacturing environment. Previous knife experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Attention to detail. Ability to work safely, wear P.P.E., and follow instructions. Ability to attend work consistently. Strong work ethic.
