The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek Internal Medicine Physician to join the Department of General Internal Medicine . Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience. Position Overview The Internal Medicine Physician at the OSU Center for Womens Health functions as an integral member of the patient care team, whose members reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team provides patient care and supportive service that are directed toward the achievement of quality patient care outcomes and patient satisfaction. Division Overview Our mission is to improve the health of local and national populations by providing exceptional and innovative healthcare delivery, training the next generation of primary care clinicians and scholars, and conducting exemplar research, while optimizing wellness of faculty and staff. The Division is recognized for providing personalized comprehensive patient care, innovative educational opportunities for students and residents, and excellent scholarly work. The Division is leading efforts for the medical centers Primary Care First and post-acute COVID programs while also leading innovative services focused on delivery of preventive care, quality improvement, telehealth, remote monitoring, diabetes, autism, and many other health conditions. Duties and Responsibilities The Internal Medicine physician directs or provides licensed medical care in the specialty area of the Center for Womens Health. Responsibilities include diagnosis and treatment of patients, education and collaboration with staff, medical students, residents and others, and clinical research. The Internal Medicine physician must be competent in technical clinical skills as well as cognitive and interpersonal skills required to serve those patients receiving the above mentioned services. The Internal Medicine physician is expected to practice within the established Medical Center and physicians standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols), and adhere to key results areas of the Medical Center. Requirements MD or DO; Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency or ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency; Board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; Eligibility for Ohio medical license.
