We are looking for an experienced provider who is passionate about caring for patients and treating their medical needs. You will perform exams and procedures, counsel patients, and treat patients throughout their lifetime. Education Professional degree in Medicine (M.D. Or D.O.) Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Georgia. Board Certified in Family Practice or if board eligible, candidate must achieve board certification in a time established by the primary care examining Board and maintain board certification in primary care area. Meet and maintain hospital privileges at the Center’s referral hospital(s). Salary $179,000 – Commensurate with experience Hours of operation

Summary In accordance with plans and policies established by the Board of Directors functions within the medical setting as a member of the Service Team in providing family-oriented medical care. Has the ability to get along with others, to encourage quality patient care, and to strive for excellence in medicine. Maintain current knowledge in the field and is willing to keep up-to-date through continuing medical education. Is an active participant in appropriate scientific societies and healthcare associations. Duties and Responsibilities The authority and duties of the Family Practice Physician shall include but not be limited to: A. PATIENT CARE: Defines and implements, in union with the Medical Director, the standards of general practice and care of the patient. These standards will be coordinated among the nursing, laboratory, pharmacy and other supporting staff as appropriate; Advises patients on good health practices; Completes health evaluation forms on patients; Comments on health status of patient findings with patient, or parent when examining a minor, in a timely fashion; Provides supervision to PA’s, RN’s, LPN’s and contributes towards evaluation of work performance; Participates in peer review meetings, attends conferences and seminars to meet CME requirements for maintenance of State Licensure and Board Certification, and stays abreast of current updates in Internal Medicine; Participates in the twenty-four (24) hour coverage program; Participates in the training and in-service programs as the Medical Director indicates. B. REFERRALS AND FOLLOW-UPS: Interacts with community physicians to provide services for underprivileged populations; Makes referrals to other health facilities for further testing, diagnosis or treatment and follow-up care. Evaluation The evaluation of work performance, including: specific duties, responsibilities, demeanor, and work ethic, will be ongoing and implemented by the Chief Medical Officer per center policies. Status FLSA exempt position; OSHA high-risk position; ADA negotiable position. Minimum Qualifications: Professional degree in Medicine (M.D. Or D.O.) To include HIPAA Privacy & Security. Physical Requirements Varied activities include standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting. Employee must possess full range of body motion including the ability to assist or lift patients when necessary; occasional weight bearing to exceed 50 pounds, use of portable stretchers/wheelchairs encouraged. Employee must possess hand-eye coordination with normal range of vision and hearing abilities. This position frequently requires working under stressful conditions and frequently requires irregular work hours. Environmental Working Conditions This position includes both administrative and medical responsibilities. Employee is frequently exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, medical cleaning and processing solutions which may include ionizing radiation plus other elements common in a clinical environment.
