Perinatal Ultrasonographer - SIGN-ON BONUS Apply locations: RIVERSIDE METHODIST HOSPITAL, DOCTORS HOSPITAL, GRANT MEDICAL CENTER, DUBLIN MEDICAL BUILDING, PICKERINGTON METHODIST HOSPITAL Job Description Summary: $15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS External applicants and newly licensed internal applicants may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible. The Perinatal Ultrasonographer provides patient care through OB/GYN ultrasound and Doppler Imaging. Under general supervision, performs routine and targeted sonograms, fetal echocardiograms, and CW Doppler imaging studies. Assists in the performance of Level II and transvaginal sonographic studies and fetal/maternal diagnostic procedures. This is for a full-time position, working Monday-Thursday 7:00a-4:30p or 7:30a-5:00p and Friday 7:00a-11:30a. There is no weekend or major holiday coverage required. Our Maternal Fetal Medicine offices are located at Doctors Hospital, Dublin Methodist Hospital, Grant Medical Center, Marion General Hospital, Pickerington Methodist Hospital, and Riverside Methodist Hospital. We offer an annual uniform allowance and an annual allowance towards RDMS renewal. Responsibilities and Duties Performs routine OB/GYN sonograms including Level I, II, BPP, Transvaginal and reviews studies and reports with Perinatologist. Assists physician in fetal/maternal diagnostic procedures. Assists in resident teaching in ultrasound. Data entry of obstetrical ultrasound reports. Performs Doppler Imaging and fetal echocardiograms. Organizes activities to assure conformity to established policies and procedures and standards of quality care. Maintain and oversee satellite ultrasound machine on L&D. Age Specific Competencies Knowledge and application of growth and development principles. Utilization of effective communication strategies. Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific Vision abilities required by this job include close Vision, distance Vision, and color Vision. (Indirect patient care jobs, i.e. unit clerk, pastoral care, etc.) Minimum Qualifications High School or GED (Required) ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Certification Specialized Knowledge ARDMS registry - OB/GYN preferred. Must receive OB/GYN ARDMS certification within 1 year of hire. Ideal candidate has two years’ experience in OB/GYN ultrasonography, PW Doppler Imaging, and fetal echocardiography.
