This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care for patients with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, and other thyroid disorders; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and other scholarly activities such as quality improvement activities and clinical research. The division is highly recognized in clinical and research programs in thyroid cancer, type 1 and type 2 diabetes; adrenal and pituitary disorders; metabolic bone disease, obesity, women’s health, and other hormone conditions. Division Overview The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism has been recognized for excellence by U.S. News and World Report on an ongoing basis. We are committed to excellence in clinical care, the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and discoveries to improve the care of patients with endocrine and endocrine-related disorders through laboratory and clinical research. Duties and Responsibilities This is an academic position on the clinical track that emphasizes patient care to endocrine patients with a focus on thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer; instructs medical students, residents, and fellows; and basic or clinical research. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, thyroid ultrasound and fine needle aspirations, e-consults, and inpatient consults. Requirements Candidates must have an MD or DO Board Certification or Board Eligible in Endocrinology Qualify for academic appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level – Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with previous training and experience Faculty Defined Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. MAIN ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
