Job Description Position Overview : Litigation Associate Auman, Mahan & Furry is seeking a Litigation Associate to support and grow our workers’ compensation and employment law practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills and a minimum of 2 years of experience in civil litigation. Experience in the areas of workers’ compensation, insurance defense, and/or employment law are considered a plus. Key Responsibilities : Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and trial. Represent clients at administrative and court hearings, depositions, and mediations. Collaborate with clients, third party administrators, and opposing counsel. Consistently communicate with clients regarding the status of pending matters. Provide legal counsel and risk assessment to clients. Conduct legal research and analysis, draft briefs, motions, and other legal documents. Qualifications : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in the Ohio State Bar; additional state bar admissions are a plus. Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience in civil litigation. Experience in workers’ compensation, insurance defense, and/or employment litigation considered a plus. Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
