Summary: The project manager position is responsible for the management of customer projects, with the goal of delivering every project on time, within budget, and meeting scope and quality requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Kick-off new projects and coordinate with internal resources for the execution of projects. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring feasibility. Ensure resource availability and allocation to support project plan and timing with support from the scheduling department. Develop master timing plan to report status to customers. Manage customer authority data with support from the data management department. Support of outsource scope development and sourcing as required to maintain project cost and timing. Perform risk and opportunities assessments, manage program internally and externally to minimize project risks. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate tools and techniques. Track job cost and escalate/adjust accordingly. Assist in performing PCM Reporting to finance. Support relationships with customers and manage customer interactions and expectations. Report and escalate issues or concerns to management bi-weekly or as needed. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Ensure quality reports and project deliverables meet or exceed both customer and internal expectations. Possess required experience, skills and attributes for assigned levels in Project, Abilities, Strategies, Software, Financial, Soft Skills, and Travel in the Project Management Skills Matrix. Project – Works autonomously to manage a project. Abilities – Works autonomously with organization skills and follows processes. Strategies – Kick-off’s, change strategy, IP strategy, and follows AIT Std. PM&E procedures. Software – MS Project and CAD (Catia/NX) and works autonomously with MS Office Suite. Financial – Project estimating budget allocation and monthly EAC’s. Soft Skills – Project leadership presence, manager/teamwork, and customer-facing interaction. Travel – Short and long travel may be required. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar field. Two to four years minimum in a tooling/manufacturing environment, design, build and installation programs.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:
Must be a citizen of the United States and have a current active ‘Secret’ Security Clearance.

Understands how to use computers, including tasks such as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigating to websites, performing searches, and downloading files. Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing programs, and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office). Maintains confidentiality while processing and handling confidential information with discretion. Defines tasks and milestones to achieve objectives, while ensuring the optimal use of resources to achieve those objectives. Works effectively with different levels of management, team members, and customers.

Work Hours:
Standard work schedule, overtime may be necessary for meeting deadlines, required travel, and emergent conditions.
Travel Requirements:
This position may involve travel up to 25% of the time.
