Auto Parts Store Manager in Training #135 Boonville, MO 65233, USA Job Description Posted Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 6:00 AM The Manager in Training will travel to several Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts stores in the area while training to become Store Manager. Some of the job duties include management functions such as purchasing, budgeting, accounting, and personnel work. The incumbent also provides over-the-counter direct sales to customers, makes deliveries, processes orders either in person or over the phone, and supports the overall success of store operations through promotion of sales programs and other customer and team-related activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Follow instructions and steps necessary to learn the company's policies, procedures, and business model. Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints. Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers. Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level. Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales. Hire, train, and evaluate personnel in retail sales stores, promoting or firing workers when appropriate. Ensure responsiveness to requests and compliance with company security requirements. Perform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise. Ability and willingness to advance within the company when a position becomes available. Adhere to scheduled work time unless authorized by a manager. Perform other duties as assigned.

Two years of professional auto parts experience or four years of hobbyist auto parts experience. Language Skills : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Mathematical Skills : Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills : Basic computer knowledge of Windows based computers, familiarity with web browsing, and the ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations : Valid driver's license (Class E required for all Missouri locations) and clean driving record. ASE certifications preferred.
