Utilize various grinding equipment such as flexible shaft grinders, pencil type grinders, cut-off wheels, and sanding wheels. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures. Perform basic daily maintenance or checks on equipment. Other duties as necessary. SKILLS And QUALIFICATIONS Ability to perform thorough unaided visual inspections on small parts. Working knowledge of manufacturing principles and basic shop math. High degree of manual dexterity while using grinding equipment. Ability to read and follow work orders, set up data sheets, and measurement instructions. GOLF COURSE MECHANIC

About North Fork Country Club -

North Fork Country Club is a private club located on the North Fork of Long Island. A breathtaking waterfront setting that boasts a beautiful Donald Ross design. Aside from the beautiful 18-hole golf course, North Fork also has 2 Har-Tru tennis courts as well as a full practice facility with a driving range and chipping area. North Fork has gone under a full bunker & tee renovation that will bring back elements of the original Donald Ross design, with modern day playability in mind. Position Overview: We are looking for a driven, passionate individual to join our team as the Equipment/ Shop Manager. Working alongside the Agronomy Team, the Equipment Manager will be responsible for daily upkeep, preventative maintenance, and repair of all Grounds Maintenance equipment.

Equipment Maintenance-

Performing daily preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment (Gas, Diesel equipment). Ensures optimal quality of cut for all playing surfaces daily. Placing orders for parts and supplies needed for maintenance. Maintaining an organized and clean shop area. Operating equipment in a safe manner. Lift at least 50 pounds. Being involved in the daily planning, scheduling, and decision-making process. Works with the staff to ensure proper training of equipment, care and safety standards. Maintains exceptional records of all equipment, preventative maintenance schedules and other items. Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Proficient in interpreting repair manuals, instruction sheets, and hydraulic and electrical schematics. The ability to weld and fabricate to aid in repairs.
