Job Description
Job Title: Research Associate The Research Associate designs, executes, and manages research projects investigating immunology, cancer biology, and neuroscience and experimental therapeutic techniques for the treatment of various cancers in the Guo lab in the Department of Radiation Oncology. Responsibilities Include:
Collaborates with principal investigator (PI) to develop and implement goals and objectives of studies. Conceptualizes, designs, and executes complex laboratory experiments, including routine procedures on lab animals. Plans and performs advanced molecular and cellular techniques and animal studies. Collects, analyzes, and interprets research data. Develops and implements new and/or revised research methodologies and techniques. Performs critical analysis of literature relevant to research. Collaborates with principal investigator to write and prepare research papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at national and international conferences and workshops, and in the writing of project reports, articles, and other documents. Attends and presents research results at national and international scientific conferences, workshops, and seminars. Assists with development, writing, and preparation of grant proposals to obtain new or renewal of extramural funding in support of research. Investigates, identifies, and recommends possible sources of research funding.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Master's Degree or PhD in neuroscience, immunology, or biological sciences preferred. 1-3 years of relevant experience required. 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred. Location: Tzagournis Medical Research Facility (0163) Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 40 Shift: First Shift Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.
